Additional models added to HP Laptop computer batteries recall
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recently added additional models to its recall of about 70,000 notebook batteries for HP and Compaq notebook computers. The problem batteries were sold in August 2007 through March 2008. According to the CPSC, the lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Check this page for information on determining if your battery has been recalled and how to exchange it.
