Apple announced its new iPad mini, which features a 7.9" 1024x768 display. It measures 7.2mm thick and weighs 0.68 lbs., which is half the weight of the new iPad. It features an Apple A5 dual-core processor, FaceTime HD front-side camera, 5-megapixel iSight camera, Lightning connector, and 10-hour battery life. Models with 4G LTE connectivity are also available. The iPad mini models, which will be available for preorder starting October 26:

Apple also announced the 4th-generation iPad 9.7" Tablet, which now features the Apple A6X processor, retina display, HD FaceTime camera, dual-band 802.11n WiFi, and Lightning connector. It starts at $499 for the 16GB WiFi-only model, and $629 for 4G LTE.
