Apple announces iPhone 5 w/4G LTE from $199, preorder September 14

Today, Apple's Phil Schiller announced the new Apple iPhone 5 4G LTE Smartphone. In black or white, the phones are priced at 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399 via Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T. (The same as with the iPhone 4S.) Improvements include:
- Apple A6 dual-core processor (purported 2x faster CPU, 2x faster graphics)
- 7.6mm thick, 112 grams, 18% thinner and 20% lighter than the iPhone 4/4S
- 4" 1136x640 326ppi Retina display
- 4G LTE "Ultrafast Wireless", up to 100 Mbps
- dual-channel 802.11n, up to 150 Mbps
- aluminum backplate
- 8 hours of 3G or LTE talk time or browsing; 10 hours on WiFi browsing
- faster 8-megapixel camera, with improved low-light functionality, panorama capture
- 1080p video with image stabilization, face recognition, picture grab from video
- 720p backside-illuminated front-facing camera
- FaceTime over cellular networks
- "Lightning" connector, 80% smaller than the previous connector
- nanoSIM (compared to the microSIM of the iPhone 4S)
The iPhone 5 will be available for preorder on September 14, with orders shipping on September 21.
