Apple announces new iMacs: 22" from $1,299, 27" from $1,799 (updated)

Apple (finally) updated its iMac line of desktops. They still feature either a 21.5" or 27" display, although they're 80% thinner than their predecessors. The base models sport Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge quad-core processors, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, and NVIDIA Kepler video. (All except the base model can be configured with Apple's new Fusion drive, which combines a 128GB SSD with either a 1TB or 3TB hard drive.) The configs:
- Apple iMac 21.5" Core i5 Quad 2.7GHz for $1,299 (shipping in November)
- Apple iMac 21.5" Core i5 Quad 2.9GHz for $1,499 (shipping in November)
- Apple iMac 27" Core i5 Quad 2.9GHz for $1,799 (shipping in December)
- Apple iMac 27" Core i5 Quad 3.2GHz for $1,999 (shipping in December)
