Apple releases the iPod shuffle 4GB MP3 Player (updated)
Apple today introduced the new iPod shuffle 4GB MP3 Player in Silver or Black for $79 with free shipping. Other than a redesigned form factor, its primary new feature is VoiceOver, which speaks the name and artist of the currently-playing song. Of particular note, the controls are now located on the earbuds, meaning most third-party headphones won't work. Also, the battery life is down to 10 hours vs. 12 hours on the previous model.
