For new customers, Blockbuster Online still offers two weeks of its Total Access Online DVD Rental Service or its Blockbuster by Mail (which lacks in-store rentals) for free. (Plans start at $8.99 per month thereafter.) It's the best such offers we've seen for this service in a month.

Netflix also offers a free 2-week trial. Its cheapest plan costs $4.99 per month thereafter, although Blockbuster's "3 DVDs at-a-time" plan can be had for $1 less per month. (Netflix does offer free online streaming of some titles.)
