Mac OS X Snow Leopard preorders
Amazon.com is the first store we've seen take preorders for Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. It costs $29 with free shipping, or $49 for the 5-User Family Pack. Other versions and bundles are available.
Snow Leopard is due in September.
Of note, as part of its Up-to-Date Program, Apple will offer the Mac OS X Snow Leopard upgrade to select Mac or XServe systems for $9.95 with free shipping. Sales tax is added where applicable. Qualifying systems should have been purchased on or after June 8, 2009.
