Microsoft MSN Direct service closing down in 2012
Microsoft will be ending its MSN Direct information service on January 1, 2012. MSN Direct is a wireless datacasting service which delivers location-based services to navigation systems, including many GPS units which have been listed on dealnews in recent months. Any cancellations requested before the shutdown date will receive a pro-rated refund, and all MSN Direct-equipped GPS devices will still continue to function as navigational units after the shutdown.
