Microsoft Security Essentials for PC download for free
Microsoft offers downloads of its newly-released version of Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows for free via this link. This is one of the few times Microsoft has offered non-Beta software downloads for free. The software guards against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. There are versions for 32-bit Windows XP and both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista/Windows 7. Of note, if you downloaded a Beta version of this, you must uninstall it before installing this version.
