eCOST.com still offers the factory-refurbished Akai 42" Widescreen LCD Monitor, model no. LCT42Z6TM, for $699. With around $49 for shipping, that's a $30 drop since our mention three weeks ago and hundreds less than the best we've seen for a new one.
The TV features a 1920x1080 (1080p) resolution, 800:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m² brightness, 6ms response time, integrated speakers, and HDMI, VGA, S-Video, and RCA video inputs.
This display does not have internal over-the-air tuners; you'll need a separate source (such as a cable or satellite TV box) to view TV channels.
Note: Although it's covered by a 90-day warranty, eCOST.com does not mention who it's provided by.
