Costco offers its members the Samsung 58" 1080p Widescreen Plasma HD Television, model no. PN-58A550, bundled with the Samsung Touch of Color 46" 1080p Widescreen LCD HD Television, model no. LN-46B540, for $2,499.99 plus $199.99 for shipping. (Non-members pay $125 more, so it's much better to sign-up for a 1-year Costco membership for $50.) Even with shipping, that's $276 under our last mention of these TVs and the lowest total price we could find for the pair by $350. Sales tax is charged where applicable.
Both HDTVs sport a native resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p) along with VGA, component, and other video inputs. The 58" plasma features a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,300 cd/m² brightness, and three HDMI inputs. The ToC 46" LCD has a 60,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 6ms response time, 500 cd/m² brightness, and four HDMI inputs. Of note, Costco extends the manufacturer's warranty to two years.
