Savings Account Roundup: Washington Mutual increases yield to 3.75% APY
Washington Mutual now offers a 3.75% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) when you open a new Online Savings Account. That's up almost half a percent since our mention two weeks ago and the highest APY we've seen since February. You'll need to sign up for a WaMu Free Checking account and fund it with at least $1 to be eligible for this savings account. Other high-yield savings accounts:
- HSBC Direct: 3.50% APY
- Wilmington Trust: 3.31% APY with $10,000 minimum deposit (up 0.05%)
- ING Direct Orange Savings Account: 3.00% APY
- Capital One High Yield Money Market Account: 3.00% APY
