Savings Account Yield Update: Washington Mutual 3.75% APY
Savings account yields at several banks remain unchanged from our mention two weeks ago. (At that time, several yields increased.) Washington Mutual still leads this pack with a 3.75% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) when you open a new Online Savings Account. That's up almost half a percent since our July mention and the highest APY we've seen since February. You'll need to sign up for a WaMu Free Checking account and fund it with at least $1 to be eligible for this savings account. Other high-yield savings accounts:
