This receiver is very technologically advanced. I am using it to feed a full set of Paradigm speakers and using the ARC feature to get audio signal back from a Samsung TV. Really makes the better programs with digital dolby a lot more enjoyable with good sound. The Pure direct feature is great for watching movies allowing for as director intended sound and without adding extra sub woofer bass. Watched The Dark Knight Rises and was very impressed. Let the system setup the room speaker balance with the included mike and won't disappointed. The manual is a bit overwhelming, just use the quick setup directions and proceed as one feels comfortable. You can find lots of help online by entering ? on google.
