Apple Unveils New iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
Today, Apple unveiled its new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models. (Note: Apple is currently updating its site.) Unsubsidized, the entry-level iPhone 7 32GB will cost $649, while the base iPhone 7 Plus 32GB will cost $769. These new smartphones are water- and dust-resistant and feature a new A10 Fusion quad-core processor, "Taptic" force-sensitive home button, and 7-megapixel FaceTime HD camera.

Most notable perhaps are the new rear cameras — the base iPhone 7 has a 12-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, quad-LED flash, and f/1.8 aperture, while the iPhone 7 Plus steps up to dual 12MP rear cameras (one wide-angle, one telephoto). Most controversial is the elimination of the headphone jack — although a Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter is included.

This new model launches on September 16, with preorders beginning on September 9.
