Best Buy caused a stir when it announced that it would close 50 stores and focus its efforts on mobile technology. Then, the retailer disclosed that its CEO, Brian Dunn, was resigning. A seismic executive shift and a reconsideration for what it sells is worrying behavior to say the least, but how will these events impact the bottom line for consumers?

The Apple Store has announced its Black Friday 1-Day Sale. Although no specific discounts are noted, Apple's Black Friday sales typically feature discounts of 5% to 10% on Apple products, stronger discounts on Apple-compatible accessories, and free shipping sitewide with no minimum. Offers will be available both in-store at online on November 25. Sales tax will be added where applicable.

Meijer posted its entire in-store Black Friday Ad as a 32-page online document. Stores will open at 4 am with doorbuster deals available until noon. Notable doorbuster deals include Nintendo Wii Consoles for $99, select LEGO sets from $15, Amazon Kindle Wifi with Keyboard bundled with a $25 Meijer Custom Coupon for $89, Sony Playstation 3 Holiday Bundle for $199, and more.

Meijer also posted online Thanksgiving Day and Saturday Ads. Thanksgiving offers are available Thursday from 6 am till midnight. Some best bets include the Microsoft Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect for $199, Samsung 32" LCD HDTV for $278, select Blu-ray movies for $8. The Saturday Sale features Meijer Santa Bucks printable coupons with discounts ranging from $3 off a single item of $14.97 or more to $20 off a single item of $99.97 or more. Best Buy has released five of its Black Friday in-store only doorbusters. These will be available beginning at 12 am midnight on Black Friday, November 25, at Best Buy retail stores only. In addition, Best Buy also confirmed more than a dozen of its online and in-store doorbusters. These will be available online on Thanksgiving, November 24, as well as in-store on Black Friday.
