The GameStop Black Friday sales circular has been posted at GameStop.com. (Click "Weekly Ad" at very the top of the page.) Stores open at 7 am on Friday morning, with doorbusters lasting until 11 am. Some best bets from the 8-page Black Friday ad:

Amazon.com has opened voting for this year's Customer Vote promotion. Like last year, users get to vote on select products to help decide which they will have the option of purchasing starting Thanksgiving Day, November 22. New this year, however, is that there will be multiple buying rounds and you have to be randomly selected to buy at the given price. Voting for Round 1 ends Tuesday and you will be notified by November 22 to know if you're eligible to buy. There are six rounds total, with the last buying round taking place November 28.

Note: Even if you don't get to buy the items at the lowest price, "runner ups" will be selected for each product for purchasing it at a slightly higher, but still discounted, price. Based on the current results, here are the six best offers from this sale:

Nintendo will replace the original straps for its Wii remotes with beefier straps for free after filling out this form. Some consoles shipped in early December already included the newer/stronger strap; you can check this image to see if you already have the new version. Allow up to 9 days for delivery. No end date is yet listed.

The Associated Press reports that Nintendo has recalled 3.2 million Wii controller straps. The straps will be replaced by stronger ones. Google News has more.
