This Sunday, April 22, Home Depot retail stores will give away 1,000,000 n:vision Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs to customers for free in celebration of Earth Day.
Why, of all things, give away lightbulbs? Assuming every one of them replaces an existing normal bulb, it's estimated that this could result in a total of $12,000,000 in annual savings of energy costs and a reduction of 196,000,000 pounds of Carbon Dioxide emissions.
