By Aaron Crowe, dealnews writer If it’s cold where you are — and chances are it’s not only cold, but you're snowed in half the time — then you’ve probably used your winter jacket enough to need a new one. Either it looks dingy, is worn out or you find you need a spare when one gets soaked. Or, perhaps, it just isn’t as warm or as stylish as you’d like it to be. You’re in luck: Now is the time to buy winter coats, as retailers look to get rid of inventory that there soon won’t be a need for when spring finally decides to warm us up. While January was a good time to buy winter clothes, February has just begun and promises plenty of good deals for winter coats to use this year or put away until next winter. Here are some that we found for different budgets: Men Regularly priced at $180, the Columbia Men’s Vector Jacket is $79.99, plus $12.95 for shipping, from Cabela’s. It comes in black or sea salt (white) and can be shipped from store to store for free pickup. It’s the lowest total price we could find for this jacket. For $21 you can’t go wrong with the Dickies Men’s Thermal Fleece Zip Hoodie at Walmart, model no. NW303CH. Shipping is only 97 cents, and if that’s too much, then pick it up for free in-store, with free website-to-store delivery. The jacket has a cotton-blend fleece and thermal waffle-weave lining, and it comes in sizes from M to XL and in various colors. It’s the lowest price we could find by $16. The P.J. Mark’s Men’s Peacoat from the Sportsman’s Guide looks warm, and at $39.97, along with $9.49 for shipping, it is a deal at $40 off and the lowest price we could find for a similar coat by $20. It’s 20% wool and 80% acrylic and is available in sizes M through XXL. Women For women, the Cabela’s Women’s Snake River Jacket is on sale for $14.99, with shipping being $5.95 or free if you ship to store. But even when you add in the shipping, it’s $15 off and the lowest total price we could find. The jacket is available in sizes S to 2XL and comes in seven colors. This is one to stock up for early spring or for next fall, since it's not exactly a parka. For something that looks a little warmer, the London Fog Women’s Wool Double Breasted with Scarf Peacoat from Overstock.com is $52.99 plus $2.95 for shipping. It’s the lowest total price we could find by $34. It is available in sizes S to L. At $12.88, the Cabela’s Women’s Woodland Full-Zip Embroidered Cardigan is the least expensive way you’ll find to keep warm. While it’s not exactly a jacket, the low price makes it worth considering as a way to keep warm in the winter as an extra layer. Even with $5.95 in shipping added, it’s $37 off and the lowest price we could find. It comes in sizes S to 2XL, although not all colors are available in all sizes.
