How Will You be Doing Your Holiday Shopping this Year?

We at dealnews only have eyes for deals ... and pretty and insightful infographics about deals and the online marketplace. Our friends at BlueKai have dug deep through 2010's online holiday shopping trends to predict The Future of Online Holiday Shopping.

Not surprisingly, consumers' online holiday shopping habits are growing, but in what ways? For one, shoppers are more likely to buy from multiple websites, rather than shopping one and done. dealnews of course supports that tactic, since getting the best deals generally means cherry-picking the best offers from a variety of vendors.

But we want to know more! When will you do your online shopping? Will you still shop in-store, or are you leaning toward doing all your holiday shopping online? Which merchants do you prefer, and what products are you planning on buying? (For example, the infographic says that digital picture frames were hot in electronics last year, but is anyone planning on buying them this year?) [BlueKai]

But agreed, I'm more reluctant with final sale items. I like being able to return if I need to. And if shipping was free, all I've got to lose is the time spent taking it back to the store.

This is definitely true, but I think the potential for savings online is great enough to take your measurements and either commit them to memory, or store them in a file on your computer. There's also certain items that are easier than others. Personally, I never feel comfortable buying pants without trying them on. But dresses and tops are usually less risky. I'm also a fan of going into stores as they get their new stuff in, trying everything on, and noting what worked. Then I just wait until a sale or coupon comes along. (I'm a deal shopper fo life.)

I think the one of the deciding factors is what is a company's return policy.  I still don't like buying clothing online because sizes are all over the map and the only way to really know what will fit is to know your body measurements since each company is different when it comes to sizes.

Don't really need anything.  I have enough of the electronic stuffs.  The only thing that I would buy is some electronic stuffs that is outrageously cheap.
