As the weather heats up, so do the rumors:
- Is a "major update"coming in August for the iPhone 5?
BGR says to forget everything you've heard before, a big iPhone release is coming soon. Does this back-and-forth rumoring over the iPhone 5 have you reaching for the dramamine? No? Just me? Maybe it's just me who's nauseated by iPhone 5 rumors! (Or I'm on a boat.)
- Apple helped Facebook build their app?
Which would then side-load other apps, ultimately destroying the iTunes app store. AppleInsider stongly hints that Apple is doing this because they don't know what they are getting themselves into and don't realize the scope of the project. Yep. That sounds like Apple to the letter: Uninformed, reckless and leaping before it looks.
- Facebook has big plans for music integration?
As GigaOm reports, it's going to be a system of tracking and reporting your musical tastes to your friends, via a social network. So ... like Ping, but functional!
- Apple iPhone 5 will have dual flashes?
TheInquisitr reports that this hardware change is coming to the next-gen handset. Internally at Apple, it's called the "Equalizer" as it consists of one rear-facing and one front-facing flash (so you know just how bright your LED flash is in the eyes of your subject).
- Yahoo! to buy Hulu?
YaHulu! There. It's been said, now let's all move on, as a society, shall we?! (Via Los Angeles Times)
- Electronic Arts buying PopCap for $1 billion?
EA had to cleverly arrange Garlics, Magnets, Marigolds and Gloom-Shrooms to raise that much coinage. (via TechCrunch)
