Can You Guess How Much These People Paid for Their Costumes?

With Halloween and Comic Con around the corner, we're revisiting last year's investigation into the cost of serious cosplay costumes.
Updated

Greetings, true believers! Though comic conventions are a great place to meet comic creators and shop for superhero, TV, and movie memorabilia, many people go just to show off their costumes. These cosplayers really get into it, too, making creations that transcend costumes and become real works of art.

So, with New York Comic Con this weekend and Halloween coming up, we revisited our investigation from last year to see what it takes to make an awesome costume. How much time and money would one have to invest, in order to impress one's fellow nerds? Our own Jeff Somogyi went to New York Comic Con last year to find out!

What do you think, readers? Is a kick-butt costume worth spending time and money on? Or would you rather buy it from a store instead? How much did you spend on your Halloween costume this year? Tell us in the comments below!
