Beantown. The Cradle of Liberty. The Athens of America? With nicknames like that, you can be sure that Boston's got enough New England charm to keep you satisfied on a domestic weekend getaway. But these deals will have you even more pleased as they facilitate your plans to meander through quaint cobblestone streets, traverse squares brimming with rich colonial history, eat until your heart's delight, and even get your football fix ... all for less!

Fly up to Boston on Southwest Airlines, which is a new destination featuring non-stop service, with 1-way fares starting at $92 (a low by $7; expires November 17). Once you touch down, make your way in and around the city with a Thrifty car rental for just $34.99 per day (via coupon code "TZTSC", a low by $249; expires November 30).

With a full tank of gas head to Harvard Square to settle in at the Sheraton Commander Hotel, where nightly stays at this landmark hotel start at an easy $159 per night (a low by $10; expires November 30). This former Revolutionary War meeting place is also home to plenty of restaurants, century old shops, and museums, offering ample opportunity to sightsee just steps from your hotel.

If you'd rather stay across the river and closer to downtown Boston, rest your head at the luxurious 4.5-star Liberty Hotel (from $249, a low by $5; expires November 30). Not only does the hotel sit on the foot of Beacon Hill just walking distance from the Boston Common, but it also boasts panoramic views of the city. Even better: there are plenty of amenities worth noting, like the complimentary WiFi, Saturday yoga, bicycle rentals, and more.

Looking for a more fun way to tour the city? Grab your cell phone and get your scavenger hunt on with a StrayBoots Interactive Tour for two ($12, a low by $12; expires December 22). The hunt begins when you receive a challenge via text message and proceeds with an adventure through city neighborhoods. Expect to get schooled on interesting facts about your locale along the way, as you'll need to answer trivia questions to receive subsequent clues. Nothing like some friendly competition to prove you're the best tourist ever, right?

Surely you've worked up an appetite after that! Let the food adventures begin with none other than a Boston tea party overlooking the harbor. Rowes Wharf is offering afternoon tea for two complete with warmed scones and pastries, tea sandwiches, French pastries, and loose-leaf teas in a number of varieties ($49, a low by $29; expires November 22).

If dinner is more of a concern, head just 20 minutes outside downtown Boston to enjoy house-made American fare at Charley's. Indulge in a 3-course dinner for two, which includes a shareable appetizer, two entrees, and any dessert to share ($35, a low by $34; expires November 17). We've got our eye on black skillet mussels to start and that burger! Yum!

Don't let the Beantown fun stop there. Take gaming to a whole new level with a combo football deal at the Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel & Spa. The hotel, which faces Gillette Stadium, is offering nightly stays bundled with two tickets to the November 18 Patriots vs. Colts game for $699 (a low by $46; expires November 18). Tailgate at the on-site restaurant, watch the showdown in section 120 in the lower bowl endzone, and then stay at the hotel that night, win, lose, or draw. No matter the outcome, you'll be able to enjoy the complimentary hot buffet breakfast for two (which includes chef specials and the omelet bar), free WiFi, and valet parking.

For some New England-style relaxation before you leave, kick back amongst sweeping meadows two and a half hours outside of Boston in the Berkshires at the The Old Inn On The Green. The 18th century bed and breakfast is offering 2-night stays for $349, bundled with meals for two (a low by at least $171; expires November 29). This getaway includes dinner at the acclaimed on-site AAA 4-Diamond restaurant, known for its unexpected ingredients such as sea urchin, squab, and diver scallops.

If Boston isn't quite what you want, we say put that rental car to use and road trip-it down to Providence, Rhode Island. Stay at the 4-star Westin Providence just five minutes from the scenic Waterplace Park (from $139, a low by $30; expires November 30). This deal is valid on weekend stays, too, which means you'll get the chance to explore another historic town before making your way home.
