September 19, 2007 (Huntsville, AL) – dealnews, Inc. today appointed Stuart Obermann, a 25-year technology industry veteran, to Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), a newly created position.

dealnews publishes a network of six web sites that guide readers to the Internet’s best deals on consumer electronics, computers, gadgets, men’s apparel, and more. Its flagship site, dealnews.com (www.dealnews.com), was named “one of the best services of 2006” by PC World.

In his new position, Obermann will oversee overall strategy and business development for the fast-growing media company.

An influential advocate for the development and advancement of the technology industry in Huntsville, Alabama region, Oberman had been a member of the dealnews Board of Directors since 2000.

Prior to joining the dealnews executive team, Oberman was Board Director of BizTech, a high tech business incubator, and Director of the Huntsville Angel Network (HAN), an association of accredited investors supporting early-stage technology and biotech companies. He is also a Partner in Harvard Business Advisors, a strategic planning business consultancy; and a co-founder of both the Alabama Information Technology Society and the Alabama Chapter of the ALS Association.

Previously Obermann was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Mobular Technologies, a provider of software in the Internet communications industry; Vice President and general manager of MessageMedia, Inc. (NASD:MSG); and President, CEO and board member of Revnet, a direct email marketing company.

Obermann’s appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for dealnews. The company, which recently opened a six-person editorial office in New York City, will be launching a site dedicated to covering deals on women’s fashion and products later this year.
