Maybe just reduce the prices by up to 44%. Then they'll sell themselves.

According to Etymonline, the best website not named DealNews dot com, the word "barbecue" has its roots in the American Spanish "barbacoa" — "a framework of sticks set upon posts". Smartly, they changed it enough that it could be shortened to BBQ, one of the most brilliant abbreviations in history. Then, a few hundreds years later, people started using the word to refer to the actual grill upon which you do the BBQing. Not the BBcoaing, because that's way too awkward to say. I said all this to a Lowe's sales associate whilst browsing their discounted grills and outdoor cooking deals, and they just looked at me and asked if I could leave the store please.

But! For the good law abiding amongst us, it's a lovely bit of dealery.

Here's the advantage Sam's Club has over the Friars Club: discounts. Groucho presumably didn't lose access to a Friars Club clearance sale when he turned in his member's card, and so didn't miss out on over 100 discounts on apparel, snacks, toys, rugs, and more. More like Cryer's Club.
