San Francisco, CA (January 4, 2007) – Hailed as "the Mac daddy of Apple deals" by Wired News, dealmac (http://dealmac.com) announced today that it will be providing exclusive coverage of Macworld Expo deals and specials starting January 9th.

For the ninth consecutive year, dealmac editors will be scouring the Macworld trade show floor for the best deals on the newest Mac products and posting coupons, promotion codes, and other deals that consumers anywhere can take advantage of online.

According to Dan de Grandpre, dealmac's founder and editor in chief, about 40 percent of specials offered at Macworld Expo are also available online each year.

De Grandpre said that Mac fans can also expect to find specials on dealmac for the latest Apple products within a day after they are unveiled at Macworld Expo.

While Apple itself does not offer discounts on its products, de Grandpre said resellers often offer deals within 24 hours of the product launch. For example, last year, Apple's first laptop with an Intel processor debuted at 10:20am PT and dealmac published its first deal for the laptop by 5:45 am PT the following day.

"Most people have no idea that it's possible to get in on the specials and deals offered at trade shows like Macworld Expo," said de Grandpre. "We like to think of what we do as the democratization of bargain-hunting."

dealmac will also publish Expo-only specials for Bay Area residents, who can decide if it is worth the trip to San Francisco.

"We've found that when a $1,000 piece of software drops to $500 or less, people will travel from anywhere in the region to take advantage," said de Grandpre.

Admission to MacWorld is $45, but de Grandpre said dealmac usually finds exhibitors giving away free passes and lists how to get them on its web site.
