What to Expect From Apple Black Friday Deals in 2024
Black Friday iPhone Deals
Our 2024 Prediction: iPhones will be bundled with gift cards
Whether you want to buy the latest iPhone or a previous-generation one, the odds are good that the 2024 Black Friday iPhone deals will involve gift cards. For instance, in previous years we saw Walmart offering deals that included up to $750 in gift cards with select iPhone purchases and trade-ins. The retailer bundled a $300 gift card with select iPhone 14 purchases, and even iPhone 13 models qualified for gift cards worth $400 to $500.
Apple items will likely come bundled with gift cards again in 2024, both at Apple itself and other retailers.
Walmart isn't the only store with gift card deals either. While Apple doesn't tend to have a Black Friday sale with discounted devices, we expect the tech company to once again offer bundles with select products. In previous years, purchases of select iPhone models qualified for a $50 or $75 gift card at Apple.
Not interested in gift cards? Look for Target to take up to $150 off select Apple products in general, while eBay could have select refurbished phones for $250 or even less. That deal could include older-generation iPhones.
Black Friday Apple Watch Deals
Our 2024 Prediction: Save up to $60 on the latest Apple Watches
If you want the latest and greatest Apple Watches, Black Friday may be the first real chance you have to save $50 or more. In previous years, we saw the newly released Apple Watch Series 8 Sport drop to $349, while the Apple Watch Ultra with GPS and cellular capabilities fell to $739, or $60 off the regular price.
But if you're not concerned with having all the available features, the Apple Watch SE should provide an affordable entry point. The latest model starts at $249, but we've previously seen it drop to $170. So it's not unreasonable to expect the 2nd-generation Apple Watch SE to hit that price again for Black Friday.
Black Friday iPad Deals
Our 2024 Prediction: iPads could hit $270... or go even lower
Hoping to get an iPad around Black Friday? In previous years, we saw the 2021 64GB iPad hit $270 a number of times at Amazon, while Walmart offered the 2021 256GB iPad for $399. This meant shoppers could save at least $60 and $81, respectively, on the 10.2"-sized device.
If you're looking for other iPad models, know that at least a few deals should be available. For instance, in previous years the latest iPad Air 10.9" 64GB WiFi model fell to just $500, which was nearly $100 off. We also saw the 2021 iPad Pro 12.9" 128GB WiFi iteration drop to $800.
Black Friday MacBook Deals
Our 2024 Prediction: Gift cards worth hundreds will be included with Apple MacBook purchases
Like iPhones, MacBooks will probably come bundled with gift cards this year if Apple repeats its offers from previous years. From Black Friday to Cyber Monday previously, Apple included $150 gift cards with MacBook Air purchases, $200 gift cards with MacBook Pro 13" purchases, and $250 gift cards with MacBook Pro 14" or 16" purchases.
Expect Woot!, eBay, and Amazon to be good places to shop Black Friday deals on Apple MacBooks.
If you're looking for discounted MacBooks as opposed to gift card offers, know that deals will be available, but it helps to know where and what to shop. You can save by opting for refurbished models, for instance. Previously, Woot! sold refurbished MacBooks and iPads from $130, and UntilGone had strong savings on refurbished MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops. eBay is also a good site to shop, especially for open-box models.
What about new MacBooks? You may want to check out Amazon for those. Previously, they offered a 2020 MacBook Air 13.3" laptop for $799 and a MacBook Air 13.6" laptop for $1,049. Both models were outfitted with chips from Apple. Read more about what we expect from MacBook and other Black Friday laptop deals in 2024 here!
