Our Top Streaming Free Trials This May

Events like Prime Day at Amazon can mean finding truly great deals when you least expect them, even on things like streaming services. Wondering "when is Prime Day this year?" We've got all the info you need to get the best offers.

Netflix

Netflix no longer offers its classic 30-day free trial, but savvy viewers still have ways to stream without paying full price in 2025. T-Mobile’s “Netflix On Us” perk gives Go5G and Magenta customers the Standard with Ads plan for free, while Xfinity’s StreamSaver bundles Netflix with Peacock and Apple TV+ for just $15/month. Verizon’s myPlan perk does something similar, combining Netflix and Max With Ads for $10/month. Prefer to pay directly? Opt for the $7.99/month Standard with Ads plan, use discounted gift cards, or leverage cash-back credit card rewards to reduce your overall cost. Explore all your options in our guide highlighting how to get Netflix for free this year.

Starz

Starz stands out in 2025 as one of the best streaming services for fans of high-impact originals and blockbuster movie content. With hit shows like "Power Book II: Ghost," "Outlander," and "BMF," along with a rotating lineup of theatrical releases, it’s a must-have for anyone who likes bold storytelling and premium drama. For budget-conscious streamers, Starz often rolls out limited-time promotional pricing like $3/month for the first three months—perfect for new subscribers looking to save. Additionally, bundling Starz through platforms like Prime Video Channels or Hulu can sometimes lead to extended trials or discounted introductory rates. You can find all the ways to start streaming without paying full price in our roundup published this April .

Peacock TV

Regularly priced at $7.99/month with ads, Peacock includes next-day NBC content, blockbuster movies, original series, and live sports like Premier League and WWE. Premium Plus, which includes local NBC access and downloads, costs $13.99/month. Samsung Galaxy and Target Circle users can stream Peacock Premium free for 3 months, while verified students, military, teachers, and first responders can grab it for just $2.99 to $3.99/month. Some Instacart+ and Xfinity customers also qualify for complimentary access, and select Mastercard holders can earn monthly statement credits of up to $5. Fubo TV

Fubo is a go-to for sports fans who want a live TV streaming experience without the cable contract. In 2025, the platform consistently offers a 7-day free trial across its Pro, Elite, and Latino plans—giving you access to 200+ channels, regional sports, 10-device streaming, and unlimited cloud DVR. Once the trial ends, savvy subscribers can keep costs low by using strategies like pausing during off-seasons, splitting the plan across household members (thanks to 10-home-device support), or streaming free sports content through Fubo’s ad-supported channels. Military members can also save $10 off for two months through GovX. With flexible features and sports-first coverage—including regional networks many competitors lack—Fubo remains one of the strongest values for cord-cutters in 2025. Discovery Plus

If you’re into real-life entertainment—think home makeovers, true crime, survival challenges, and culinary adventures—Discovery Plus delivers in spades. The service offers content from more than a dozen networks including HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Animal Planet, and Investigation Discovery. As of Spring 2025, new users can still access a 7-day free trial and enjoy shows and movies that aren't aired on other platforms like Prime Video or Sling TV.

Hulu

Hulu remains a cornerstone of the streaming world in 2025 with shows like Suits LA, Only Murders in the Building and The Handmaid's Tale. Luckily for new users, it's still one of the few platforms that offers a generous 30-day free trial. We've got you covered for all things Hulu and Hulu Live TV.

Bundle Discounts To Keep in Mind

Hulu Bundles

Hulu bundles continue to be one of the smartest ways to save on streaming, especially if you're already juggling subscriptions across Disney+, ESPN+, and Max. The best part? You can combine these services for as little as $10.99/month with Duo plans (Hulu + Disney+ with ads), or step up to Trio bundles that include ESPN+ starting at $17/month. Want to ditch ads? Premium bundles offering ad-free Hulu and Disney+ start at $19.99/month, and even ad-free Max can be added for broader content coverage. Compared to subscribing individually, these bundles can save you up to 46%, giving you major bang for your monthly buck.

Disney Plus Bundles

Disney Plus Bundle remains a top-tier option when it comes to streaming bundles. With starting prices as low as $10.99/month, you can pair Disney+ with Hulu, ESPN+, or even Max depending on your interests. Whether you're catching up on Marvel’s latest releases, binging Hulu Originals like The Bear, or streaming live UFC events via ESPN+, these bundles let you access more premium content for up to 46% less than subscribing to each service separately.

You’ll also find perks like the ability to stream select Hulu content inside the Disney Plus app, offline viewing with premium plans, and special discounts through partners like Verizon, where select home internet subscribers can score the full bundle for just $10/month. From family-friendly Pixar films and Star Wars sagas to award-winning TV and sports, the bundle lineup offers entertainment for every taste.
