As a result of a class action settlement, customers who purchased dairy products
in select states may be entitled to a cash refund
. The suit alleges that various dairy producers led a "herd retirement program" to kill more than 500,000 cows to drive up dairy prices. Affected consumers are those living in Arizona, California, the District of Columbia, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin who purchased dairy products between 2003 and now.
