SNL Dreams Up a Hilarious New Use for Jos. A. Bank Suits

There's no stain too tough for a Jos. A. Bank suit.

Saturday Night Live has dreamed up a new use for all those BOGO suit offers from menswear retailer Jos. A. Bank. In a hilarious mock advertisement, SNL touts these suits as a cheap alternative to paper towels.

The perky mom in this parody ad (cast member Vanessa Bayer) describes the Jos. A. Bank suits as "absorbent and affordable." Citing the retailer's popular "buy one, get three free" suit offer, she crows that she can get "four suits for the price of a modest dinner," and not feel bad about throwing them away when they're soiled by pet stains, bacon grease, and more.

@01100001 I wondered about that too, but I think they took the joke to its natural conclusion, which was an assumption that anything they're giving away in mass quantities like that can't be of good quality. For what it's worth, I know many people who happily buy and wear Jos. A. Bank. You just shouldn't pay full price for them, EVER.

I got the 3 suit-thing from them... so far so good. I won't be sleeping in them so I don't need whale-p3nis material here. Just get me through a meeting looking decent and I'll keep the cash for more important things.
Are Jos. A Banks suits really that poor of quality? I had gotten a nice Jos. Banks suit jacket at Goodwill for $5 and it was my partner's favorite until he got the arm torn on something sharp. I've used it since then to protect framed paintings during moves.

...really? That wasn't funny at all...
