Seiki is poised to break some records this December when it releases its latest 4K HDTV, the ultra-cheap 65" SE65UY04. And while big-box retailers may use this "cheap" 4K HDTV to lure shoppers, we think early adopters should wait at least a few weeks before making any purchase.
Sears offers the Seiki 50" 4K2K 2160p LED LCD HD Television, model no. SE50UY04, for $699.99. Choose in-store pickup to dodge the $69.99 shipping fee. That's a $60 drop from two weeks ago and the lowest total price we've seen for this TV by $22. (It's a current low by $70, but most stores charge well over $1,000.) It features a 3840x2160 resolution — four times that of 1080p TVs. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate, LED backlight, and three HDMI ports.
Note: No one is currently broadcasting or releasing content in this resolution ... but one day they will and you'll be ready!
Walmart offers the Seiki 19" 720p LED-Backlit LCD HDTV, model no. SE19HY10, for $88 with free shipping. That's the lowest total price we could find by $22 and a very low price in general for a 19" HDTV. It features a 1366x768 resolution and one HDMI input.
Walmart offers the Seiki 50" 1080p LED LCD HD Television, model no. SE501TS, for $409 with free shipping. That's the lowest total price we could find by $80, although we saw it for $10 less two weeks ago. It features a native resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p), USB connectivity, three HDMI inputs, and VGA input.
Sears offers the Seiki 55" 4K 2160p LED LCD HD Television, model no. SE55UY04, for $799.99. Choose in-store pickup to dodge the $69.99 shipping fee. That's $25 under our mention from two weeks ago and the lowest price we've seen for any 55" 4K TV. It features a 3840x2160 native resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, LED backlight, and three HDMI ports.
