Kindle Fire 7" Android Tablet for $180 + free shipping
$180 + free shipping

Kindle Fire 7" Android Tablet for $180 + free shipping

Shop Rite offers the Kindle Fire 7" Android Tablet for $179.95 with free shipping. That's the best deal we've ever for a new Kindle Fire by $9, excluding gift card bundles. (It's also $19 below what Amazon charges direct.) The Kindle Fire runs a heavily-modified version of Google's Android OS and sports a dual core processor and 7" 1024x600 IPS display. It has 8GB of internal storage, although the intent is to stream most content directly from Amazon Cloud Storage. It also lacks 3G support (WiFi is the only option). Deal ends after 2,000 sold.

And how will it affect Android pricing?

Expect to Wait 3 Months for Deals on the New Barnes & Noble 8GB NOOK Tablet

Amazon's Kindle Fire has been skyrocketing its way to the top of the tablet charts, and in an attempt to extinguish its success, Barnes & Noble unveiled its new 8GB NOOK Tablet for just $199. This aggressive move by B&N marks the start of a no-holds-barred tablet war with Amazon. But should NOOK fans jump on this "price cut" or is there a chance we'll see better deals on the NOOK in the near future?
