The new Apple iPhone for Cingular combines a mobile phone, widescreen iPod, and Internet communicator in one. It has no buttons, opting instead for a 3.5" touch screen. This GSM/EDGE quad-band phone runs Mac OS X, and has a 2MP built-in camera. The 4GB model costs $499, while the 8GB model costs $599 (2-year contract required). Each ships in June. Other features:
- 11.16mm thickness;
- auto-senses if it's in portrait or landscape mode;
- screen turns off once it's put to your ear;
- WiFi and Bluetooth;
- ambient light sensor (like a MacBook).
