    Is It Worth It?: Steam sales only come around a few times a year, and every single one is worth checking out. So far, this latest one is cutting up to 90% off game downloads for Windows and Mac, with prices starting around $2. Keep checking back though, as prices can change every few hours. There are over 5,600 games on sale, but currently featured titles include Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman Arkham Origins, Left 4 Dead 2, and State of Decay.

    Is It Worth It?: Nothing beats a freebie, Black Friday or no. Torchlight is one of those niche dungeon crawlers with a maniacally devoted fanbase, and right now you can download it for free. That's a savings of $15 on this Editors' Choice PC title, and the best price we've ever seen. Gaming Nexus' reviewer says it all: "Ever wondered what would happen if you took the best and coolest aspects of your favorite action RPGs and blended them seamlessly into a single title? You'd probably have something a lot like Torchlight."

  5. Legend of ZeldaThe Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for Nintendo Wii U

    Is It Worth It?: It's extraordinarily difficult to go wrong buying a Legend of Zelda game, but this remastered Wii U version of Gamecube classic is an especially smart purchase at $30. Not only is this Editors' Choice pick an $18 price low, but it's the best deal we've ever seen for this game, which boasts a remarkable Metacritic score of 90.

  6. Max Payne 3Max Payne 3 for Xbox 360

    Is It Worth It?: If, by chance, you missed Max Payne 3's 2012 release and are a fan of brooding shoot 'em ups, you can't do better than $5 for this title. Calling Max Payne 3 "a beautiful, playable action movie," Wired's reviewer waxed poetic about the game's ever-mounting body count and gorgeous set pieces. Right now you'll save $6 on this Editors' Choice shooter, which is just another reason to add it to your collection asap.

    The Xbox LIVE Marketplace has cut up to 85% off a selection of game downloads for Xbox 360 as part of its Black Friday sale. With prices starting from $3, that puts many of titles at the lowest price we've seen on this platform.
